Owning and running a family business is both a blessing and a curse.  There is a temptation to make assumptions based on "known" relationships.  However, we can never truly predict what someone will do or the choices they may make.  A common downfall of most family run businesses comes as a result of relying on familiarity and operating (often unconsciously) under existing family hierarchical patterns.  The key to success begins with creating clear working agreements (standard operating procedures) and assessing what's wanted and needed.  It's also critical to look at who's best suited to run each aspect of the business.  In this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to discuss the key elements of a successful family business, as well as create a model for workability -- a model they can take back and implement within their own organization.  This workshop is rich in personal stories.
