Kelly shared the following response she received from a dear friend, Rod Accardi after he read the July issue of our newsletter.

“While visiting my son here in the city of brotherly love, I read your July issue of “Connecting in the Center.” Wow, makes me wonder if I need to seek out a winker-repair-person. And I do love to wonder. Thanks. Peace, Rod

We received the following e-mail response from Sue Lickorish after she read our July 2004 newsletter.

“Wow, great newsletter guys! Powerful and thought-provoking articles. I’ve got a few calls and e-mails to respond to! I’m also thinking about seeing Monster…not the kind of film I generally watch as I find myself deeply disturbed by portrayals of sexual violence. Makes me even more amazed at Bill’s work and the development of this program. You are wonderful, wonderful people. Thanks! Sue

Sharing an e-mail sent by Jim Joy to Bill Cumming…

“I have been reading some of the newsletters archived over the months. That, coupled with hearing your name in our staff meeting today relative to your upcoming training with us at Penobscot, made me think of you. I wanted to say hello, and have been a bit inspired by some of the readings (as well as some of my own) to provide some information that could be considered as a newsletter contribution perhaps. Maybe it doesn’t qualify for that, but I just wanted to share them anyway.

I have tried to take note of some of those rare moments that something profound happens or when I am able to see the beauty that surrounds me for what it is. There should have been so many, or at least more than three or four that I can recall. It seems as I am so well trained to go out about life in a semi-tunnel visioned routine manner; it actually takes practice and concentration to recognize the brilliant reality that exists as the Creators genius every day. Thanks Bill…just wanted to share. I look forward to July my friend.

The following are two responses we received in regard to our December 2003 and January 2004 newsletters.

An excerpt from an e-mail Paul Vincent sent to Bill:

“…Btw, I found your pieces in the past 2 Center newsletters absolutely brilliant – both the one on Nachtwey and the one on broken agreements. I have you to thank for opening my eyes (during our Power Within conversations) to the incredible importance of being true to one’s word.”

And, an e-mail to the Center Team from Michael Neill.

“Wonderful – well done! ‘Ubuntu’ is the newest word in my vocabulary of loving-kindness…”

We are very pleased to share an e-mail Bill received from a friend, Eric Linder, after he read the Center’s December issue of our monthly newsletter.

“Dear, dear Bill—Just read your musings about connectedness and responsibility, and am inspired. Then I read your review of the book about Eula Hall, and was humbled—but inspired a bit, too. Thank you for being connected in my life.”

An e-mail from Ellen Wrubleski to Bill Cumming:

“You may have noticed all the contact we had when we reconnected after losing track for a few years – then it stopped. I asked myself why – I recall so many conversations with you about having discovered this connection, this healthy, positive way of life – but recall I only thought of it when I was connected to you – I have discovered – and just realized today – that through accessing the monthly newsletter and the weekly thoughts and having this conversation with others that I can and do live this – without you – this is a high compliment because I may have been one of the slowest to ‘get it' – it can be me and I do not only have to access it through you. Thank You – I believe I have grown a bit this morning!!

The weekly thoughts (Sharing a moment of mindfulness…) and monthly newsletters (Connecting in the Center) help me to stay focused, refocus me, remind me of the way I want to live – daily – each moment – I fall out of it often but bring it back more and more and some day hope to be a model of a person living with awareness, realizing each moment is a choice and taking control – and aware not to do damage, intentional or not – not just thinking things are happening to and around me – but realizing my part in everything and working to make life healthier for myself and those who come in contact with me.

Just thought I would share with you this morning – thank you for all you have helped me to see and be proud knowing that your work continues through so many.
